Critical Debates in Design : Task5
Choose 2 designer or design groups that you consider to have strong ethics and a socially responsible approach to their design concept work. Give examples or illustrations and discuss your views on their approach to design.
1.Tibor Kalman
In the middle of 1980, there was one man who
changed the graphic design world. His name is Tibor Kalman. He created his
works that relate with society, culture and the world.
Tibor
did his work as a social activist for whom graphic designer concern about good design and social responsibility. Good design, which
he defined as “unexpected and untried,” added more interest, and was thus a
benefit, to everyday life. Second, since graphic design is mass communication,
Tibor believed it should be used to increase public responsiveness of a variety
of social issues.
His role inspires me to create art work that also care about quality of design and people. His successes become important things for graphic designer.
2.Muji
In 1980, Ryohin Keikaku launched the MUJI brand under the catch phrase "Lower priced for a reason." MUJI was created to promote low price and high value products, based on the in-house development experience of Seiyu GK, the umbrella group of Ryohin Keikaku.
The basic value of MUJI market
development is to create products that are fundamental, practical and indeed
necessary in every day life, and to certify efficient and minimal manufacturing
processes. Appearance of Muji outcomes are simplify ,elegant and functional products.

19.Take a shorter shower
20.Ban bath time
21.Buy stuff from companies with eco friendly policies.
22.Rethink bottled water
23. Choose a car with a 3-way catalytic converter, to reduce nitrogen oxides and hydrocarbons emissions by 90%
24.Avoid air travel.
25.Slow down. Driving at 50mph uses 25% less fuel than 70mph
26.Go paperless

Critical Debates in Design Task4
After watching the film Fahrenheit 9/11 I was finding Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Which companies or organisation have a good CSR policy and what do I consider to be my personal social responsibilities as a designer.
Coca Cola is one of the biggest company in the world. They made a lot of profit from soft drink and also took advantage from environment. However, Coca Cola company have a clear policy about corporate social Responsibilities. In 2011, they divided their policy into four issues which are water stewardship, energy efficiency, sustainable packaging and community health. Their CSR operate in many counties around the world. They give people hope and make the world better. For example, They are recycling wastewater. It can reduce the amount of water that they use per litre. They recycle their products. It can help to reduce emission the cause of global warming.

The reason why I choose CSR of Coca Cola because They have a strong policy and embrace all of recent main problem in the world.Furthermore, I like their visions and process. Coca Cola company is great example for the biggest companies. They show their potential to the world. This vision inspires me to be a good designer who has creative thinking and also concerns the environment in the same time. Design can make the world better as well.

Design Project B
In Design Authorship project, I would like to do something that I concern or interest and this moment I'm concerning about global warming. my idea came out with green design or eco design book.
Here is mapping of my project
After I did mapping, I was researching global warming information. I got a lot of global warming details. For example, next 50 years the world temperature is going to increase, Increasing of disasters and there are many ways to solve the planet but no ones can prove it is going to be like that. However, for me I think it is going to be real. That was the beginning of my design process.

My idea is called 50/50 because people have a chance to live 50/50 in next 50 years. This book is going to show 50 ways to save the earth.
